THE WORLD'S EASIEST PSYCHOTHERAPY – Treating Stress and Illness, Breaking Trauma and Violence

  • An innovative, well-founded and easy-to-use method for understanding and healing trauma from a top expert in the field.
  • A wake-up call and a source of inspiration.
  • English sample translation available.

What causes trauma? Leading psychotraumatologist Dr. Maggie Schauer explains how many people experience trauma even in seemingly peaceful environments due to domestic violence, abuse, rejection, illness, and other challenging life events. She notes that those who inflict harm often experienced violence themselves. Abused women struggle to trust others, impacting their relationships. Stressful events, trauma, and loss shape lives long before people seek help or perpetuate violence themselves. Trauma can be passed down through generations. Schauer co-developed the "Narrative Exposure Therapy", an evidence-based form of autobiographical storytelling that helps resolve trauma. This approach allows individuals to break the cycle of suffering and violence.

"Traumatisation affects us all. Much more than we realise. That is why this book is intended to be a wake-up call and an encouragement." Maggie Schauer
